The Medavia Purchasing department also offers commercial services within the commodities and project management markets. The first large scale project undertaken consisted of the refurbishment of 50 special-purpose vehicles for the General Electric Corporation of Libya. This project involved putting together a package of engineering and maintenance, utilising the services of over 5 companies from in and around Europe, working in a coherent and timely manner to conclude the project.
As the department continued to specialise it eventually started offering a portfolio of project management and logistics coordination services. Medavia successfully led complex projects such as the construction of a suspended flooring solution for Tripoli International Airport and the design, commissioning and installation of a radio broadcasting station. Other recent projects included the refurbishment of a public sound and light show for the Libyan Ministry of Culture that included specialised audio / visual equipment comprising a high power pump that produces a water projection screen.
